| ½ cup | Butter |
| ¾ cup | Sugar |
| ¾ cup | Brown sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | Almond extract |
| 2 | Eggs |
| 1 teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
| 1 cup | Applesauce |
| 2 cups | Flour |
| 1½ cup | Oatmeal |
| 1 teaspoon | Baking soda |
| 1 cup | Ground almonds |
| 1 cup | Pecan pieces; optional |
| 1 cup | Raisins; optional |
| 3 | dozen cookies. |
Cream together butter and sugars. Add almond extract, eggs, vanilla and applesauce. Mix well. Blend in flour, oatmeal, baking soda and almonds. If desired, add pecan pieces and/or raisins. Drop by teaspoons onto Teflon-coated cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
