¼ cup | Brown sugar, packed |
1 teaspoon | Cinnamon |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
½ cup | Brown sugar, packed |
¼ teaspoon | Ground cloves |
1 teaspoon | Cinnamon |
1 \N | Egg, beaten |
1 cup | Evaporated milk |
⅓ cup | Butter, melted |
¼ teaspoon | Ground cloves |
TOPPING
Mix together in a small saucepan the chopped apples, 1 ts cinnamon, 2 tb brown sugar and 3 tb butter. Cover and stean over low heat for 2 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Sift the next 6 ingredients together, then add the egg, milk and butter and blend just until moistened. Fold in the apple mixture and spoon into paper lined muffin tins.
Combine the ¼ cup brown sugar, 1 ts cinnamon and ¼ ts ground cloves. Sprinkle over the muffin batter and bake for about 20 minutes.
