5 cups Apples; peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
⅓ cup Apple cider
⅓ cup Rolled oats
⅓ cup Flour
1 cup Brown sugar
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ pounds Unsalted butter; cut into pieces

TOPPING

Toss the apples with the tablespoon of sugar, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg and cider. Place in 1½ quart lightly buttered serving bowl. Combine the dry ingredients for the topping and with your fingers mix in butter gently, until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over apples, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve with softly whipped cream.
