|4 larges||Granny Smith apples; (up TO 6)|
|8||Graham cracker squares; (2 1/2" ea)|
|¾ cup||Brn. sugar|
|½ cup||Rolled oats; (oatmeal)|
|½ teaspoon||Allspice or nutmeg|
|½ cup||Butter or marg.; melted|
Prepare enough apple slices to fill 8" microwavable dish ¾ full. Finely chop graham crackers. Stir together crumbs, sugar, oats, flour and spices.
Add butter; mix well. Spoon mixture over apple slices. Microwave on High 12-15 min. or until apples are tender, turning dish after 6 min. Cool slightly. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Oven variation: Preheat oven to 350' ; bake for 30-35 min. or until apples are tender. Serves: 6-8
