2 cups Boiling water
1 pounds Margarine
4 eaches Eggs
2 cups Brown sugar
4 cups All bran cereal
1 quart Buttermilk
5 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Salt

\N \N Raisins

Soak the 2 cups natural bran in the boiling water in a bowl. Set aside to cool. Cream the margarine, eggs, and brown sugar together.

Add the buttermilk and mix. Add the rest of the dry ingredients. Add the soaked bran and mix thoroughly. Bake in muffins tins, or papers, in a 350F oven for about 15-20 minutes. Makes about 5-½ dozen. ( this is another recipe I 'acquired' when I was supervisor for a group home. One of the staff would make it during night shift so that we always seemed to have a bag in the freezer. This wasn't as fancy as the decadent ones, but they are just as nice) Origin: John Weel, Staff (1987) Shared by: Sharon Stevens, Jan/95.
