ancho chili sauce

  This gently spicy sauce can
  Be used to flavor main
  Dishes or as a base
  For other preparations or
  Even as a dipping sauce for
  Raw vegetables.
Dried Ancho chili, re-hydrated
Yellow onion
½ cup Peeled garlic clove
Red bell peppers, roasted and cleaned
2 tablespoons Olive oil
½ teaspoon Cumin
⅛ teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Honey
8 ounces Can tomato sauce
¼ cup Ground oregano

Method: In a deep skillet, heat olive oil and caramelize onion and garlic cloves. Add all other ingredients, let simmer for ½ hour.

Cool. Puree in blender.
