Agnes johnson's sugarless cake^

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
1 cup Light corn syrup
2 \N Eggs, separated
½ cup Milk
2 \N 1 4 c cake flour
2¼ teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt

Cream butter. Add syrup gradually, then add egg yolks. Sift flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk. Beat egg whites stiff but not dry. Pour into pan and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipping cream. Very Good. Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos and all.
