COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, BAKING SODA AND SALT AND SET ASIDE. IN LARGE MIXING BOWL ADD SHORTENING, SUGAR AND BANANAS; MIX WELL. ADD FLOUR MIXTURE ½ CUP AT A TIME UNTIL WELL BLENDED. BEAT EGGS IN A SEPARATE BOWL; THEN FOLD INTO THE MIXTURE. BAKE IN 350 DEGREE OVEN FOR 50 MINUTES IN 8X4X2-½ GREASED PAN. MAKES 1 LOAF.
