2 cups Sugar
Egg yolks
1 cup Crisco (thick stuff)
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 cup Mashed potatoes (salted & buttered)
6 tablespoons Water
3 tablespoons Melted margarine or butter
2 tablespoons Nestle's Quik chocolate
1 cup Chocolate (Nestle's powder)
1 cup Milk
2 cups Flour
4 teaspoons Baking powder
1 cup Chopped walnuts
Egg whites powder
1 pack Or more powdered sugar

FROSTING

CAKE: Cream together the sugar, egg yolks, Crisco and vanilla. Mix mashed potatoes, milk and Nestle's chocolate together, then add to first mixture. Add flour, baking powder and nuts. Beat egg whites until thick and fold into mixture. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool. Empty one pan onto cake plate, frost top.

Put next cake on top of first one, frost top. Put last cake on top and frost top and sides. Grease well 3 cake pans and dust with flour.
