Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Chopped onions
3 \N Cloves garlic, minced
1½ pounds Ground meat
1 tablespoon Curry powder
1 \N Stick (whole) cinnamon
1 teaspoon Minced gingerroot
½ teaspoon (ground) cardamom
⅛ teaspoon Cumin (ground)
⅛ teaspoon Coriander (ground)
¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon Salt
2 \N (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
½ cup Water
2 cups Diced and peeled potatoes
2 cups Fresh or frozen peas

Saute all spices in butter in a large skillet over medium heat a few minutes. Then add onions, garlic and ground meat and continue to stir mixture until slightly browned. Then add the stewed tomatoes, water and potatoes. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes over medium low temperature. Add frozen peas last, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Serve over rice, and sprinkle top with a handful of peanuts and fresh cilantro leaves, just before serving it.
