493771 cajun style broiled halibut

MeasureIngredient
2 tablespoons Paprika (Hungarian is best)
1½ teaspoon Dried oregano
1½ teaspoon Dried thyme
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Black pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper to taste
(4-6 oz.) halibut steaks, thawed if necessary

Mix together all ingredients until well combined. Sprinkle approximately ½ teaspoon spice mixture over the surface of each halibut steak before broiling. Broil 10 minutes per inch of thickness, measured at thickest part, or until fish flakes when tested with a fork. Save remaining spice mixture in airtight container for future uses.
